It would be hard to list every business school in L.A., so we'll start with a few of the more prominent ones. The College of Business and Economics at California State University, Los Angeles offers programs in information systems, finance and law, and more – but the important part is that students and faculty work together to realize how a multicultural, global business environment actually functions, and how to create solutions in today's fast-paced climate. Loyola Marymount University offers the usual suspects but focuses on moral and ethical values as the base of business education; their school is ranked among the top 25 entrepreneurial colleges in the U.S. by the Princeton Review. UCLA's Anderson School of Management offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, and houses several important research centers, including the Entertainment and Media Management Institute and the ground-breaking Richard S. Ziman Center for Real Estate.
Population and business growth in southern California has not slowed down much from the rushes in the 80s and again in the 90s. The beautiful weather, interesting people and opportunities, and well-rounded job market continue to attract some of the world's best and brightest students and professionals. Los Angeles County is expecting to add 2,853 new management jobs from 2002-12. Positions for chief executives are expected to increase by 14%, and general and operations managers are to see a 12.1% increase. In the business sector, compliance officers are looking at a 10.5% increase in jobs; management analysts are increasing by 22.1%; and loan officers are going up 37.5%. None of the jobs in the “business and financial operations” sector are seeing a decrease over the decade – so the job market is definitely a good one for business graduates.

Why Los Angeles is a Great Place to Study Business
Los Angeles is the second-largest metropolis in the United States (only New York has more people), and as such, it is an ideal place to pursue a business education. The city is always moving, there are many schools here, and even more opportunities – to see business in action, to network, to complete an internship with real-world experience, and maybe to find the job offer of a lifetime.
