Paralegal Schools and Programs in Los Angeles

Los Angeles Law Schools & Programs

California State University, Los Angeles offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in criminal justice. Los Angeles City College has associate degree programs in business law, paralegal and administration of justice, and also offers certification programs in forensics, fingerprint classification, and other law enforcement specialties. Los Angeles Southwest College offers an associate degree for paralegals. Law schools in the area include Loyola Law School, UCLA School of Law, Whittier Law School, and Pepperdine University School of Law.

In the Los Angeles area, opportunities in criminal justice and law-related fields are projected to increase significantly through 2012. Legal occupations overall are expected to grow by 18%, including increases of 25% for paralegals, 21% for court reporters and 19% for lawyers. Protective service occupations are forecast to increase by 18%, with growth of 34% for private detectives and criminal investigators, 17% for police and sheriff's patrol officers, and 20% for security guards.
